Pointing Your Domain Name to Pinnacle Cart (with video)
The other method is to point your nameservers to Pinnacle Cart. This would force all of your DNS to reside with us. If you choose this option, you would want to provide us with the MX records used by your email host.
***PLEASE NOTE****ns5.pinnaclecart.com and ns6.pinnaclecart.com will not be used for your DNS if you’re currently using the .mypinnaclecart.com domain.

How to Update Your A Record to point to your store:
When you’re ready to point your domain name to Pinnacle Cart, be sure to contact the Pinnacle Cart Support Team. They will need to change your domain on the server and in the database, as well as provide you with the IP address needed to point your A record to.
You will then login to your DNS Manager with your registrar or DNS Host and edit the A record. This may be the main A record used for the domain and www or it may be something like store. You will paste in the IP address provided to you above. After saving, you will need to wait for the TTL to run it’s course before you see the domain resolving to your cart.
How to Update Nameservers to pinnaclecart.com:
When moving to or signing up with Pinnacle Cart you may need to change your name servers to us if you’re hosted with another company prior to the change. This can be done for example if you’re registered with Godaddy.com directly on their website and follow these instructions:
To Set Nameservers for a Domain Name Registered with Us
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Next to Domains, click Launch.
- Select the domain name(s) you want to modify.
- From the Nameservers menu, select Set Nameservers.
- Under Setup type, select Standard.
- Click Save.
Now each company has a different way of doing this but should all roughly be the same. Pinnacle Cart Name Servers are as follows: ns5.pinnaclecart.com ns6.pinnaclecart.com
